A date and place that shape the sky.
We use a star catalogue and your chosen date, time and coordinates to calculate positions. The examples show rendered artwork with the Milky Way and other celestial elements; the designer uses a simpler chart preview.
It is not a photograph of the past: it does not recreate clouds or light pollution. The Moon and planets, when shown, are enlarged for the composition.
How we represent the skyWhat do I need for a birth star map?
Their name, birth date and place. Add the local birth time if you know it to represent that particular moment. The dedication and styling changes are optional.
What if I do not know the birth time?
Turn off “I know the time.” We will use 22:00 local time and label it as illustrative on the design. It represents that chosen time, not the unknown exact time of birth.
Can I include siblings on one print?
Yes. You can create one to six skies and personalise each set of details. More skies mean less space for each map, so check the names and composition in the preview.
Do I have to upload a birth certificate or personal photograph?
No. The map uses the event details you enter. You do not need to upload a certificate or family photograph. Include only the personal wording you want in the artwork.
